Summer Reading is not just for kids

Public libraries are preparing activities for the summer break for school students. But there are activities for all ages.

Adult, Teen’s and Children’s Summer Reading clubs at the library encourage readers to read, report titles or time and then have an opportunity to receive a prize. A win -win situation for everyone and all it takes is for you to pick out a book and read. Registration begins June 1 and the clubs end on Aug 8th.  See your librarian for more information.

The Book Shelf- An Adult Mystery Book Discussion group -The Library provides the materials for the book discussions – books, audio and EBooks as they are available. The next title is Batter Off Dead by Tamar Myers for June 4th at 9:00AM.
The Readers Forum an Adult Readers Book Discussion group meets on the second Thursday of the Month at 9:00AM. We will be reading Yellow Birds by Kevin Powers the June 11 discussion.
Basic computer classes will be scheduled. Registration required - Windows 7, Basic Email, Word 2007 or 2010, Cut-copy and paste or Searching the Internet. Contact  Wilma to schedule your class.
